Tin Dragon Trail Cottages offers five fully self-contained cottages in Branxholm, north east Tasmania. The cottages are built on 36 acres of land on the banks of the Ringarooma River, a favourite of fly fishermen. The cottages are close to the east coast and northern beaches, and sensational golf courses. Here you will discover genuine country hospitality laced with north east Tasmania's rich natural and cultural heritage. Snuggle by the fire, sleep under an alpaca wool-filled doona then enjoy a hearty breakfast of farm eggs and other local produce. Your only intrusion will be the occasional inquisitive wallaby foraging near by or the soaring eagles above.
The cottages are named after the Chinese miners who worked in the region's tin mines over a century ago and are constructed from timber and stone sourced from our property. All aspects of creating Tin Dragon Trail Cottages have adopted principles of ecological sustainability with the objectives of providing a luxurious country retreat in North East Tasmania. You are welcome to share the produce from our organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard and hens.
