Things To Do
Arthur River is a pristine Tasmania wilderness area densely forested with myrtles, sassafras, celery top pine, laurels, blackwood and giant tree ferns. It is part of the famous Tarkine wilderness. Canoe and boat hire are also available. There are three camping grounds; Manuka, Peppermint and Prickly Wattle, all operated by Parks and Wildlife. Accommodation available is 31/2 to 4 star spacious self-catering units; 1 and 2 bedroom, and some cottage accommodation. There are two small general stores.

The fishing is very good at Arthur River; Salmon from November to April and Trout in season. The well known "Edge of the World' plaque is situated at the mouth of the river at Gardiner Point. Cruise boats operate daily on the river between mid September to mid June.

Arthur River is a coastal village nestled on the banks of the Arthur River, 61kms from Smithton and 15kms from Marrawah. There are about 80 holiday homes, with a permanent population of around 25 people....
Cancellation Policy
If cancelled 0 - 7 days before arrival, 50% of the total amount will be forfeited / If cancelled 28 or more days before arrival, 50% of the deposit will be forfeited. In addition to any charges by the accommodation provider there will also be an additional administration charge of AUD15 if cancelled or amended online and AUD25 if cancelled or amended by phone.
