Derwent Hideaway is a fully furnished 1950's self contained house with absolute waterfront to the Derwent river and great views of the Derwent, yachts at anchor and Mount Direction.

Located at 4 Harbinger Lane Austins Ferry off Austins Ferry road Derwent Hideaway has three bedrooms, a bathroom with seperate toilet and wash basin, fully equipped brand new kitchen and laundry, barbecue, towels, linen, TV, stereo etc. Derwent Hideaway sleeps up to nine people and one baby (See Room/Bed Configuration). All main rooms have wonderful views of the Derwent River and Mount Direction. It has a large riverside garden dominated by two ancient oaks and at the rear there is a large pet enclosure.

The property is surrounded by water and there is parkland on the other side of Harbinger Lane. The local Yacht club and launching ramp at the waterside end of Austins Ferry Road and shops and public transport at the other are both a short walk away and easily accessed by vehicle.

Derwent Hideaway is an ideal base for business or pleasure as it is close to major businesses and tourist attractions and the Brooker highway which is the main route to Tasmanias west and north from Hobart. To get to the property you actually drive past historic James Austin Park where the first ferry in Tasmania and second oldest building in Tasmania are located.

Derwent Hideaway is rented short to medium term at competitive rates and is suitable for business people looking for somewhere to stay, a retreat or quiet place to work or holiday makers keen on sampling the many attractions that the Hobart region is famous for.

Derwent Hideaway 3 bedroom waterfront house
Derwent Hideaway is a fully furnished self contained house with absolute waterfront to the Derwent river and great views of the Derwent, yachts at anchor and Mount Direction. It has a Queen, Double, 2 Single and 3 folding beds. A portacot and high chair are available on request. The base rate is for 2 people with an extra person charge. There is no charge for internet, TV, DVD, fishing gear, bikes, canoes etc.

When you leave all doors and windows must be closed and locked, heating/cooling turned off and keys returned to whom you got them from unless otherwise arranged with the owner or letting agent. Should you find you have accidently taken your keys with you please contact us straight away.
Children and Extra Guests Details
Rental rates start at $100 per night for up to 2 persons. $ 25 extra per additional person subject to seasonal change. Minimum stay 2 nights.Infants <2 no charge. A portacot is available on request.

Things To Do
There are Plenty of Things to Do or Places to See

On or adjacent to Derwent Hideaway are swimming in the Derwent, fishing, boating or just walking in the parks. If you bring a bike you can use it! The Derwent provides opportunities for white water canoeing or jetboating further upstream at the historic town of New Norfolk or enjoy a more relaxing time playing golf or bowling at local clubs.

Cadburys, Moorilla, Richmond, Salmon Ponds, Alpenrail and Bonorong Wildlife Park are all family favourites and close to Derwent Retreat.

Tasmania is endowed with every activity possible from jetboating to skiing, from mountain climbing to some of the best walking in the world. Snorkelling or surfing, fishing or just snoozing on a beach are all within an hour or so of Derwent Retreat. For those who like dining, nightclubing or gambling, Hobart
Travel Directions
Find your way onto Main Road and follow it north or south as the case may be to Austins Ferry. Austins Ferry Road is opposite the stone gates to historic Roseneath Park between two groups of shops. Turn down Austins Ferry Road towards the yacht club and water over a rail crossing then turn right into Harbinger Lane just after the parks on the right hand side of the road at the top of a small rise. Follow Harbinger Lane next to the old stone wall. Derwent Hideaway is the third house on the left marked 4.
Cancellation Policy
If cancelled 0 - 28 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount will be forfeited / If cancelled 29 or more days before arrival, 100% of the deposit will be forfeited. In addition to any charges by the accommodation provider there will also be an additional administration charge of AUD15 if cancelled or amended online and AUD25 if cancelled or amended by phone.
IMPORTANT

The apartment/holiday house you have booked is privately owned and managed offsite. This means that it is not managed or associated with the onsite management. Therefore the onsite management will have no record of your booking, and will not be responsible to attend to you when checking in or checking out or offer any assistance.
