Platypus House is a unique attraction being the only venue in Tasmania where visitors can watch Tasmanian Platypuses and Echidnas in daylight conditions in an indoor setting. Visitors are guaranteed to see these spectacular egg laying mammals actively feeding during their guided tour and you are assured of many great photographic opportunities.
Entrance fee includes:
# A 35 minute fully guided tour of platypus ponds to watch platypuses feeding and playing, including a walk through the echidna garden to see echidnas foraging in a bushland setting
# A Theatrette showing a 15 minute film on platypuses
# An Interpretation Centre explaining the biology of both platypuses and echidnas (Monotreme family)
