Platypus House is located 48km north of Launceston along the western bank of the Tamar River on the wharf at Beauty Point.
Platypus House is a unique attraction being the only venue in Tasmania where visitors can watch Tasmanian Platypuses and Echidnas in daylight conditions in an indoor setting. Visitors are guaranteed to see these spectacular egg laying mammals actively feeding during their guided tour and you are assured of many great photographic opportunities.
